Over the last few days, I’ve seen people sharing their “Word for 2019.” I’ve put some thought into this, and today I’m finally ready to share my word for the new year. Also in today’s post, I’m sharing my new favorite leopard tunic that Jess Lea Boutique sent me + a coupon code.
Jess Lea Boutique sent me the leopard pullover featured in this post for review purposes. All opinions are 100% my own. Links contain affiliate links which means I receive a commission for your click or purchase.

Leopard Tunic
This leopard print tunic from Jess Lea Boutique is my new favorite item of clothing. Probably because it’s the perfect length to wear with leggings! I have worn it sooo much over my break because it’s easy, cute, has pockets, and it’s leopard print. P.S. it’s in stock in all sizes & you can use the code SAVILLA10 for 10% off.
My Word for 2019: Pursue
I’ve thought long and hard about the word that I want to define my 2019, and here it is: pursue.
This year, I want to passionately pursue God like I never have before. I want to seek His voice first and foremost and truly give all of my plans to Him. This is hard for a Type A planner like myself, but I’m really going to strive for this in 2019.
I want to continue to pursue my husband and never stop putting our relationship at the top of my priority list. Each and every day, I’m going to choose you, Adam.
I want to pursue my goals of eating healthier and working out at least 3 times a week. During 2018, I realllllly slacked with going to the gym and eating healthy. I have struggled with thyroid issues for the last few years, and have definitely felt the effects of it this year more than ever. Hopefully, getting back in a better eating/workout routine will help me feel better!
I want to pursue my love of traveling. I’ve had the wanderlust bug for as long as I can remember and 2018 just brought it back full force. I have always dreamed of travel and last year many of my travel dreams became a reality. All because of this blog, and you guys. I don’t say it enough, but thank you. All of your support has helped make so many of my dreams possible. How can I ever thank you for that??
I want to pursue friendships. Insta-friendships, real-life friendships, all of the above. I love sharing life with y’all. It’s why I started this blog. To connect with other women, share my love of fashion/beauty/travel, and hopefully inspire you along the way. I absolutely love hearing from you guys and seeing your highs, lows, wins, and losses. Know that I am here rooting for each of you!
Finally, I want to pursue both of my jobs with renewed energy and spirit. I love teaching 1st grade and I pray to be intentional every day in my interactions with my students. I pray my spirit is revitalized on the days that I feel the worst, and I pray that when my cup feels empty, it will be refilled. As I type this, I am reminded of one of my favorite worship songs, “Desert Song” by Hillsong. “I know I’m filled to be emptied again, the seed I’ve received I will sow.”
My other love is of course, Vogue for Breakfast. In 2019, I want to pursue every opportunity and take VFB to places I never even imagined. I can’t wait to see what’s ahead, and I am so excited to take you all with me.
What’s your word for 2019??
I have very similar goals and I am glad I have you to help me stay focus on the goals! I also, know that I want to refine and refocus myself as a Christian. By the way I love this leopard sweater!
