In today’s post I’m sharing about my recent trip to Knoxville with my mom, and our stay at THE TENNESSEAN Hotel.

THE TENNESSEAN HOTEL
THE TENNESSEAN Hotel is located right in the heart of Knoxville, Tennessee. It is within walking distance to Market Square, Gay Street, the World’s Fair Park, and so much more. Our room had the most amazing view of the iconic Sunsphere! THE TENNESSEAN Hotel is known for its personal luxury experience, and our stay could be categorized as just that, “personal luxury.” The arts, theatre, and culinary scene is booming in downtown Knoxville, and THE TENNESSEAN Hotel gives you a front row seat to all the action.
My mom and I traveled to Knoxville together on a Friday afternoon after work. It was a quick and easy drive for us from Northeast Alabama, and we arrived with plenty of time to explore the hotel and local area. Being within walking distance from so many shops and restaurants was perfect! The whole weekend was a very laid back, and we loved being able to rest, recharge, and just enjoy our time together at THE TENNESSEAN Hotel.
OUR ROOM
Our room was absolutely gorgeous. It doesn’t get much better than that amazing view of the Sunsphere! We had everything we needed and there was plenty of space. We loved the large bathroom area, with the expansive counter top. All that counter space is perfect for two women to get ready at the same time!
Another huge plus is that THE TENNESSEAN Hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi. (Complimentary Wi-Fi is one of the best hotel perks, in my professional blogger opinion). 😉
AMENITIES
THE TENNESSEAN Hotel has an onsite restaurant and bar, fitness center, business center, pool, valet parking, and more.
We loved eating brunch at the onsite restaurant, The Drawing Room. In the mornings, they offer a buffet style setup, with pastries, a yogurt bar, bacon, grits, fresh coffee, made to order eggs, the list goes on. Everything was so delicious! In the evening, you can head back to The Drawing Room to enjoy dinner, drinks, and the relaxed, yet luxurious ambiance.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
We had the best experience at THE TENNESSEAN Hotel. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and so helpful! (Fun fact about the staff: They collectively speak nine different languages! How cool is that?) They truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best stay, and we were so grateful!
The Dogwood Arts Festival was being held in Market Square while we were there. It was so fun to walk around, listen to good music, try yummy foods, and soak in all the gorgeous & interesting artwork. There is always something fun going on in Knoxville, and the staff at THE TENNESSEAN would be more than willing to assist you in planning fun activities for your trip.
Knoxville was such a fun weekend trip for my mom and I. We always enjoy spending time together “just us” and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. With Mother’s Day coming up, this would be SUCH a great gift for mom. I’m all about gifting experiences, and I know that a weekend at THE TENNESSEAN Hotel for her, or with her, would be the perfect gift!
