Hi babes! Have you tried the ever-popular off the shoulder style yet? SheIn sent me this top and it’s one of my favorites right now. I’ll tell you 3 reasons why at the bottom of this post. 😉
Top: SheIn Pants: Nordstrom Shoes: Steve Madden
Earrings: Skye + Grace Lipstick: MAC Nail Color: OPI
I hope you’ve all enjoyed your weekend. I wore this cute little top on Saturday and it was so comfortable. We went to see the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie and I absolutely loved it! Baby Groot was so adorable!! If you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend it.
Anyway, y’all know I love pieces that are both comfy and cute, and this off the shoulder blouse is definitely one of them. Even though it’s a little billowy, the vertical stripes keep it slimming.
Haven’t tried the off the shoulder trend yet? I’ll tell you exactly why you need to:
- Off the shoulder tops are super flattering. Shoulders are usually a body part that women don’t have many hangups about, so why not show them off? While I might not be ready to show my legs in shorts yet, I’m proud to say that my shoulders are in amazing shape (Ha, but really!). I also feel like it hides the bigger part of my arms that I am self-conscious about.
- They’re the perfect way to show a little skin. It’s almost Summer, and it’s hot outside. But unless you’re 18, you probably don’t want to walk around baring a lot of skin. This cut looks appropriate for any age and will also give you all the Summer vibes.
- Your shoulders will not look broad. I think that might be why a lot of women are scared to try this style, but I actually found the opposite to be true for me. I feel like this cut actually makes my frame look more narrow. However, if you still feel self-conscious, try wearing your hair down and stay away from styles that have a lot of ruffles, as that can add more volume.
Have I convinced you yet? Step out of your comfort zone and try an off the shoulder top this Summer! 🙂
