Spring is finally coming to Alabama and I couldn’t be more excited! In today’s post I’m teaming up with Old Time Pottery to share my Spring front porch decor. Keep reading for more photos, links to shop, and my floral garland how-to.
I have been compensated by Old Time Pottery for this post, however all opinions are 100% my own.
FRONT PORCH BEFORE
We have had the bare minimum on our porch since Christmas. It needed a Spring refresh, so I teamed up with Old Time Pottery to make it happen. For a new season, I love adding a new doormat, fresh florals, and a few accent pieces. Old Time Pottery has everything you need for your own Spring porch refresh.
SPRING FRONT PORCH AFTER
Once Easter is over, I will put away the “Happy Easter” sign, but everything else will stay out until Summer. Our lanterns stay on the porch year round because they fill the empty spaces and look pretty no matter the season. I still love our 3 ball boxwood topiaries but opted for the spiral ones to change things up for Spring. The wood flower statue isn’t online yet, but there were a ton in-store. I also love this cute flamingo statue that I might add for Summer.
HOW TO ADD A FLORAL GARLAND AROUND YOUR DOOR
Here is the garland I used. It was a little thin, so I purchased 6 garlands. I twisted two garlands together to make three fuller garlands. So down the left side of the door is two garlands twisted together, across the top is two, and down the right side of the door is two.
Adam helped me place 10 Command hooks around the door frame to hang the garlands. Command hooks are great because they won’t damage the wood and aren’t permanent like nails would be. We put the hooks up around the door last October and they are all still in place.
*PRO TIP* Before you place them, be sure to wipe down the door frame to remove any dirt/debris so the sticker strip will fully stick.
On the sides, we turned the Command hooks so that the hook was facing back. (See above photo). This allows the garland to hang perfectly. Once you have your hooks up, it only takes a couple minutes to put up/take down garlands. This is such a quick and easy way to make a big impact on your front porch.
Next month, I’m teaming back up with Old Time Pottery to share a fun Memorial Day post. I can’t wait to show you how we plan to celebrate! 🙂
