Okay ladies, I’ve found your new favorite store: South Moon Under. Are you already a loyal shopper? I had never heard of South Moon Under until the opening of their newest location at The Summit in Birmingham, Alabama. After a 1 (okay maybe 2) hour shopping trip in store, I quite possibly became their biggest fan. In today’s post I’m sharing all the deets on store locations, my shopping experience, and most importantly… the clothes!

THE SOUTH MOON UNDER SHOPPING EXPERIENCE
I had the best shopping experience at the Birmingham location. All the South Moon Under ladies were outgoing, helpful, and absolutely precious! I did not meet anyone who did not have a smile on their face or a minute to check in and see how I was doing.
I also have to add that the store itself is so cute, and there are so many styles and brands to choose from. (Btw: You can see a store walk through over in my InstaStories.)
After making my dressing room selections, I headed back and met Kayla. Kayla made me feel like I was shopping with my best friend. We chatted the entire time I was in the dressing room, and Kayla always gave her honest opinion on an outfit. It was so helpful for someone to say, “That one looks a little big in the sleeves.” or “I like that one, but I think the other dress is sooo flattering.” It made it so much easier for me to make my final decisions.
THE CLOTHES
South Moon Under carries a large variety of brands (Free People, Kendra Scott, Steve Madden, Blank NYC, ASTR, Ali & Jay, Becca, French Connection, and Rebecca Minkoff, just to name a few). The large variety ensures that there is something for every shopper.
Whether you’re looking for a fabulous date night/work/church/event outfit, a new swimsuit, shoes, or the perfect accessories to finish your look, South Moon Under has it all. I couldn’t believe the variety/quantity of items. They literally have everything.
As soon as I saw this jumpsuit, I knew I had to try it on. Once I tried it on, I was instantly sold. I loved the color, the floral pattern, and the cutout detail. But, I have to say that the best part of this jumpsuit is how flattering it is. The cut is FABULOUS! It seems like this jumpsuit has been an online favorite as well, but there are more adorable jumpsuits here.
The choker + gold hoop earrings complimented this jumpsuit perfectly, along with the unexpected black straw crossbody bag. I kept holding up white and cream colored bags to the jumpsuit and, while they were gorgeous bags, they just left the outfit feeling a little blah – like it was missing something. Then, I tried the black crossbody, and the whole look just came together.
Style tip: If you ever feel like your outfit is too plain, add some interest with an unexpected bag or statement earrings.
I truly cannot say enough good things about South Moon Under. I cannot wait for my next in-store trip. But until then, I may or may not be adding allllll the things to my cart over on their website. 😉 Do you have a South Moon Under shopping experience? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
