I’m also sharing an easy idea to jazz up your ice cream cones.

I have been compensated by Old Time Pottery for this post, however all opinions are 100% my own.

HOW TO SET UP A PATRIOTIC ICE CREAM BAR

Go to Old Time Pottery for patriotic decor + serving ware. My local Old Time Pottery always has the BEST patriotic decor. They have bunting, banners, flags, garlands, floral picks, wreaths, bows, signs, and more! I got all of the decor and serving pieces for my Patriotic Ice Cream Bar at Old Time Pottery. The mirror is from Old Time Pottery too.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Old Time Pottery is the best place to buy serving ware. They have such a great selection and you can’t beat the prices. Every piece I got was in the $9-$15 range.

Stock up on ice cream, cones, and toppings (ideas below). I chose vanilla ice cream, but strawberry would be fun too. I also found a red, white, and blue sorbet that was too perfect to pass up. Sorbet is a great option for guests who may not want ice cream.

HOW TO ADD SPRINKLES TO YOUR CONES

This was SO easy to do! You can use frosting, but I used Almond Bark and it worked so well. I melted a little Almond Bark in the microwave and then dipped and rolled a cone in it. Next, I dipped and rolled the cone in a bowl of sprinkles and then sat all the cones on parchment paper to dry. I think Almond Bark was perfect because it hardened quickly and the cones were ready to use within minutes.

PRO TIP: I recommend using smaller sprinkles. Sprinkles with larger pieces don’t stick as well. They DO eventually harden and stay in place, but they are hard to get on the cone initially and don’t cover as well.
