Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 - My Favorites + Honest Opinions

Okay, so before I start my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale try-ons, I’m wearing these jeans in almost every single picture. They are true to size. I ordered a ton of different brands that I had never tried to see which ones I liked best, and after trying these on (the 2nd pair), I never took them off. I knew that none of the others would compare. Yes, they’re an investment. But wow… what a difference a good pair of denim makes!

I’m wearing these boots in almost every picture. Again, I ordered a few others, but I loved these. I also got this pair for work, but they were delayed in shipping and I didn’t have them during this first try-on session.

I tried to find staple pieces that could be styled multiple ways because, like most people, I don’t have unlimited funds to spend on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. So while I am about to share multiple items, you’ll see a lot of the same pieces over and over again.

Camisole – Cardigan – Jeans – Boots

I liked this cardigan, but I’m not keeping it. So many bloggers that I follow go on and on about this brand being so soft, and honestly, it just didn’t live up to the hype for me. It’s a great sweater, but similar to so many others.

Jeans – Top – Boots

Now this top does live up to the hype. It’s that soft, stretchy material that I LOVE. I love the length of this top as well because it’s great for layering and you can also knot it up.

Jeans – Top – Jacket – Boots

Same top paired with this amazing moto jacket. This jacket is such a classic, staple piece for any closet. It has a detachable hood and feels soooo buttery soft. I’m keeping everything in this picture!

Jacket – Camisole – Skirt

Same jacket paired with my favorite camisole (I’m kicking myself for only ordering one color. It’s currently sold out, but keep an eye out for it and order as many colors as you can – trust me on this) and black denim skirt. I’m keep this skirt too because it’s a thinner denim. I love a thinner denim material because it has some stretch and doesn’t bunch up or pucker in the front.

Jeans – Camisole – Cardigan – Boots

I liked this cardigan, in theory. I love the color and the brand is one of my favorites, but in my opinion, it just made me look bigger than I am. I’m not keeping this one.

Same color cardigan, same overall look except this one made me look slimmer. I liked the slimming effect of this one + the balloon sleeve detail. Honestly, I would choose this cardigan over the previous one.

One of my favorite purchases from the sale. I want this in every color and am ordering as soon as it comes back in stock. It’s so soft & the fit is amazing! I’m wearing the small.

Jeans – Top

I loved this top online, but when it arrived, it just wasn’t my favorite. It was very oversized which you can see better in my InstaStories. I’m wearing the small. If I were going to keep it, I would definitely need to size down, but the previous top is the same color & a much better fit + it’s softer.

Jeans – Top – Boots

This plaid top is a great staple piece. I love wearing plaids in the Fall/Winter. This one wasn’t too thick which I really liked, especially for early Fall and layering.

Another great plaid top that comes in many different colors.

Camisole – Skirt

I really loved this corduroy skirt and have gone back and forth about keeping it, but I think the final verdict is to keep the suede instead. Only because I liked the fit of the suede one a little better (it lays flatter). However, I loveee the color of this skirt!

Sweater – Jeans – Boots

Oh this sweater. I love/hate it. In this picture, I love it. And if I stand perfectly still, I adore it. But as soon as I move, it shows my stomach and personally, I just don’t like that for me. If that doesn’t bother you, order this! I mean, look how cute/flattering it is! This sweater was the most disappointing for me. I wanted it to work so badly. Maybe if I ordered up a size? But I doubt it.

Pullover – Jeans – Boots

The softest/coziest sweater ever. Order it. You’ll love it. Thank me later. (I’m wearing the medium for an oversized fit).

Camisole – Cardigan – Jeans – Boots

I did not like this sweater at all. In my opinion, it looks like a grandpa sweater. Ha

Cami – Cardigan – Jeans – Boots

I really liked this camisole. The color is a light lavender & it’s so cute under cardigans like this one. This cardigan is in my top favorites! Everyone needs a lightweight neutral cardigan & this one is perfect.

Dress

I liked this dress, but I just didn’t feel that it did anything amazing for my figure. It looks black in the picture, but it’s actually navy with black trim.

Sweater – Jeans – Boots

So I liked this top, but it wasn’t as amazing as I was hoping it would be. It was tight, but even if I sized up, I don’t think I would want to keep it. It’s just so-so.

Dress

When I ordered this dress, I was expecting Leith ruched dress (tank / long sleeve) level amazingness. However, this one was a major letdown. It had way too much extra material (see below picture) and just didn’t work on my body.
