Hi babes! It’s no secret around here that blanket scarves are one of my favorite accessories to wear in the Fall and Winter months. And as much as Adam dislikes them, I can’t stop wearing them. They’re so warm and cozy, and they can change the look of any outfit. Plus, blanket scarves are totally an Instagram staple. #sorrynotsorry
ILYMIX sent me this scarf, and I just love all the gorgeous colors in it. ILYMIX is one of my favorite places to shop for scarves because they have such a huge selection! (I received this scarf complimentary from ILYMIX, however all opinions are 100% my own). Not sure if you can pull off a blanket scarf? I have a few tips for wearing blanket scarves that I’ll be sharing at the bottom of this post.

So this entire look (including my hair – check InstaStories for a mini-tutorial) took barely any time to style. That’s another thing I love about blanket scarves, they can make you look super pulled together with minimal effort on your part.
When I plan to wear a blanket scarf, I know that I’m going to let my scarf be the focal point of the outfit. Because they are a little on the bulky side, I like having my hair pulled back away from my face. If I wear a blanket scarf when my hair is down and curled, sometimes it can just feel like too much, especially when I’m teaching. Also, by leaving a few pieces of hair down in the front, it frames your face and will give your pony a softer look. If you have long hair, try pulling it back the next time you wear a blanket scarf. I promise it will make you feel less claustrophobic. Ha! (This hairstyle is also great if you’re going to wear a hat).
Sometimes I wear blanket scarves with dresses but, if I’m going to wear a blanket scarf with denim, I make sure to wear a more fitted sweater. You don’t want to add extra bulk. By wearing a fitted sweater and skinny jeans it brings everything in, streamlining your look and allowing the scarf to be the focus. Just add some statement earrings, maybe a hat, and you’re good to go! Easiest outfit ever.
Side note: totally obsessed with these jeans. They’re my first pair by this brand and I’m pretty sure that I now need every pair made.
