Summer is right around the corner, and so is McKenna’s 1st birthday! Adam and I have slowly been refreshing each room in the house to get ready for her birthday party. So of course I teamed up with Old Time Pottery to tackle the guest bedroom. Today’s post is how to refresh a bedroom for Summer, all on a budget!
I have been compensated by Old Time Pottery for this post, however all opinions are 100% my own.

HOW TO: SUMMER BEDROOM REFRESH
Go to Old Time Pottery – I was SO impressed with the bedding deals at Old Time Pottery. For example, this Full/Queen 3 piece comforter set was only $50! The comforter is so soft and I love the pom details. Sometimes the smallest details add so much! Old Time Pottery has the best deals if you’re looking to update your home while keeping it budget friendly.
Choose Bedding – I started with the bedding since that is the main focus of a bedroom. Old Time Pottery has a lot of bedding options for all bed sizes. They also had a great selection of both solids and prints. If you want to add more interest, choose a solid bedding set & printed sheets.
Select a Sheet Set – Just remember, you can ALWAYS mix and match. I love an all white bedding look, but I think peach colored sheets would have also looked pretty. (Or even a patterned sheet set like I mentioned above). I think the all white works here, without being boring, because your eye is drawn to the little pom detailing. This sheet set was $30.
Update Pillows – Since the bedding I chose was all white, I wanted to add a pop of color with the pillows. I loved adding some with a fun texture to break up all the soft whites. These pillows were $25 each.
Add Storage & Accents – If you noticed above, our bedside table has a large opening on the bottom. I couldn’t store anything there without it being seen, so I picked up a seagrass basket while at Old Time Pottery. They have SO many pretty baskets! I draped the fur blanket over the side so that it wouldn’t look empty. Lastly, I added the little gold tray with a small floral arrangement and a pretty candle. I spent about $85 on accents.
GRAND TOTAL FOR SUMMER BEDROOM REFRESH: $215
Next month, I’ll be sprucing up the entire house with some new Summer florals. I can’t wait to bring you along!
