How To: Romantic Tablescape for Spring

Today I’m teaming up with Old Time Pottery to update my dining room and add a romantic tablescape for Spring.

I have been compensated by Old Time Pottery for this post, however all opinions are 100% my own.

Confession: I am a huge fan of Valentine’s Day and all things girly and romantic!

But with home decor, it’s important to think about what can be carried through multiple seasons. I didn’t want to go all out with Valentine’s Day decorations that would only last a few weeks. Instead, I wanted to add a few romantic touches that would work for February and into Spring. I think I accomplished that with this romantic tablescape, and you can too!

HOW TO: ROMANTIC TABLESCAPE FOR SPRING

Head to Old Time Pottery – If you’ve been around here long, you know I’m a huge fan of Old Time Pottery. They constantly have new inventory, have the cutest seasonal décor, and always have excellent prices! Anytime I want to update an area in or outside our home, I always check Old Time Pottery first.

Start with a centerpiece – The first thing I looked for when I entered Old Time Pottery was a vase for my centerpiece. Once I selected one, I moved over the flowers. Old Time Pottery has a wide range of artificial plants, flowers, garlands, and wreaths. Red is the obvious choice for romance, but since I wanted this tablescape to last through spring, I chose differing shades of pink flowers.

Add Candles – Nothing says romance like candles! In our home, we use as few fragrances as possible, so I was so excited to find an entire section of flameless candles at Old Time Pottery.

Select Chargers – I’ve always thought that gold adds a girly, romantic touch to any area in your home. So when I found these gold chargers for $1.99, I couldn’t pass them up. Our home is a very neutral, farmhouse vibe, but the gold adds some depth to the table that wouldn’t be there with just the white plates/bowls.

Update your Dinnerware – Updating your dinnerware can be expensive, but not at Old Time Pottery. They have so many dishes, bowls, glasses, and silverware to choose from, and they are ALL great prices!

Finish with Wineglasses – For the final romantic touch, add wineglasses to your tablescape. I liked our table before, but it always felt like something was missing. I think the addition of the wineglasses really completes the romantic setup. Plus, I like the convenience that all you’d need to add for dinner is your silverware!

I’ll be teaming up with Old Time Pottery again next month and I can’t wait to bring you along! Stay tuned for my next project & one of my best decorating tips…
