I’m also sharing details for a $100 Old Time Pottery giveaway at the bottom of this post! Old Time Pottery has compensated me for this post + provided the products featured in it. However all opinions are 100% my own.

I am so excited to be teaming up with Old Time Pottery again! Have you every shopped at an Old Time Pottery? I had never been until a few months ago, but let me tell you, it’s one of my new favorite places to shop for seasonal decor. They always have such a large variety of seasonal and home decor items, and I love finding a good deal! Everything in the photos is from Old Time Pottery, including the gorgeous wreath and snowflake lantern on our counter.

I have been wanting to put up a Christmas tree in our kitchen for the last few years, so when I saw this one, I knew I had to have it. BTW, all of Old Time Pottery’s Christmas trees are 50% off right now!!

Our living room tree is decorated with traditional shades red and green, but I’ve been dying for a pretty rose gold or pink tree. As I was walking the aisles of Old Time Pottery, I saw so many gorgeous gold, silver, pink, and rose gold tree decorations, I instantly knew that I couldn’t choose just one color scheme. So instead, I chose them all. And, in my opinion, this “mixed metal” tree turned out totally insta-worthy!

HOW TO DECORATE AN INSTA-WORTHY CHRISTMAS TREE

  1. Choose a color scheme – Can’t settle on gold or rose gold? Use both! I love all the metals so I mixed them and it actually turned out beautifully. Adding more colors can give your tree depth and make it more interesting.
  2. Add ribbons or deco mesh – Since our living room tree had ribbons, I decided to go with deco mesh on this one. Deco mesh is actually SUPER easy to place and makes a big impact on your tree! If you have a lot of ornaments, you might want to space your deco mesh further apart. If you have fewer ornaments, putting your deco mesh closer together creates the illusion of a fuller tree.
  3. Add decorative pieces – I always add these before the ornaments because I want to make sure they are evenly spaced. Also, if you choose large decorative pieces (like my flowers) you will want to make sure that they are the prime focal points. I love these pieces, so I tend to add a lot of them, but you can always add fewer! I chose two different types of flowers (rose gold & gold), gold and burlap sparkly leaves, glittery twigs (rose gold, white, and silver), and the white pom balls. Since my deco mesh was gold, I made sure to choose the other colors for the decorative pieces. I wanted to have plenty of each metal to bring all the colors together.
  4. Place your ornaments – Old Time Pottery has so many gorgeous ornaments right now. Most of the ones I chose were shatter proof, which was perfect for the kitchen. I highly suggest shatter proof ornaments on kitchen trees because the kitchen is such a high traffic area.
  5. Add a topper – On our living room tree, we used decorative pieces to create our own topper. So again, I wanted something different for this tree. When I saw this mercury glass light up star, I knew it was perfect.

Do you have a tree in your kitchen? How did you decorate it?
