I can’t believe that it’s already time to start decorating for Spring & Easter! After the Christmas season, I always hate packing away all of our festive decor. But I love this time of year when I can finally break out the bunnies and eggs! Keep reading to see my finished Easter mantel and steps for decorating your own Easter mantel.
I have been compensated by Old Time Pottery for this post, however all opinions are 100% my own.
HOW TO DECORATE AN EASTER MANTEL
STEP 1: I always like to start with a clean canvas. I take everything off, even if there are pieces I plan on reusing. Sometimes you can get stuck on keeping an item in a certain place when it would look better in a new spot. Starting with a clean canvas can help give your Easter mantel a brand new feel!

STEP 2: Head to your local Old Time Pottery. You know I love repurposing decor I already have at home, especially for shelves and the fireplace mantel. But, I always like to add in a few new seasonal items to keep everything fresh and fun! Old Time Pottery has a lot of new Easter and Spring items in store. You will love their wreaths, signs, baskets, and decorative pieces!
STEP 3: Start with a banner or wreath. Both are eye-catching and will be what most people see first when they look at your Easter mantel. I started with the burlap banner & built my mantel around that.

STEP 4: Mix larger and smaller items for a balanced look. I loved the Easter egg tree and knew it would be one of my taller items. So to balance it, I added the candle sticks that were about the same height as the tree. Then, I added the small white bunny in the middle and the vase of eggs to keep with the Easter theme.

*PRO TIP: A glass vase that you can reuse throughout the seasons is a great home decor purchase! It’s currently filled with eggs, but later I might fill it with candies, ornaments, flowers, etc.

STEP 5: Don’t forget the hearth. I always like to add a sign or some other large decor item to the hearth. I also love a basket filled with a blanket and/or pillow for a cozy touch. Old Time Pottery has an amazing selection of baskets. I actually snagged a couple others that we will be using for toy storage. (I’ll share them on my Instagram Stories later this week).

Here’s the final product – my 2023 Easter mantel! What area of my home should I decorate for Easter next?
