I recently made a trip to Old Time Pottery to purchase some holiday gift wrapping and scored a ton of great deals for an even better price! Keep reading to see a few of my tips for buying holiday gift wrapping.
I have been compensated by Old Time Pottery for this post, however all opinions are 100% my own.
HOLIDAY GIFT BOXES
Old Time Pottery has a great selection of holiday gift boxes, and my number one tip when it comes to holiday gift wrapping is BUY THE BOXES! I love stocking up on cute boxes that can be reused year after year. And the best part? You don’t have to wrap them!
HOLIDAY GIFT BAGS
Tip #2 is be sure to grab an assortment of different sized bags in addition to the boxes. You’re always going to have those gifts that won’t fit in boxes because they’re shaped weird. If they’re shaped weird, they’re going to be awkward to wrap.
When I’m in a wrapping mood, I always want to knock out as much as possible. If I have to slow down because of a weird shaped package, I usually just stop. Having a variety of different sized boxes and bags on hand makes the holiday gift wrapping process so much quicker.
SPECIAL SANTA WRAPPING PAPER
When I was growing up, one thing that my mom always did was have different wrapping paper that was from Santa. We would have wrapping paper that we used when wrapping together, but she would always have some stored away for Christmas morning. Not all of my Santa gifts were wrapped, but if they were, they were wrapped with one of the rolls that I hadn’t seen. It just added to the magic. I never once questioned where the gifts came from because I hadn’t seen the special Santa wrapping paper when I was helping her wrap gifts.
As an adult, I always choose wrapping paper that matches our tree/home decor. But while at Old Time Pottery, I picked up a few extra rolls of “special Santa wrapping paper” (like the ones above) for McKenna’s future Christmas mornings. 🙂
One more quick holiday gift wrapping tip: Always get the wrapping paper that has the grid lines. The grid lines allow you to be much more precise when wrapping, and more precision means less wasted paper. All of the rolls I purchased at Old Time Pottery have the grid lines.
SHOP AT OLD TIME POTTERY
My final holiday gift wrapping tip is to check out your local Old Time Pottery store. They had a great selection and assortment of wrapping paper, boxes, bags, gift tags, ribbons, bows, tissue paper, and more. It truly was a one stop shop for all things holiday gift wrapping and the prices were excellent!
