Today I’m sharing a travel review of our recent stay at Destin Gulfgate in Destin, Florida. Adam and I traveled there for McKenna’s 1st beach trip and we absolutely loved our stay. Keep reading for pictures of our gorgeous condo + 6 reasons you should stay at Destin Gulfgate.

6 REASONS TO STAY AT DESTIN GULFGATE

SPACIOUS CONDOS – All of the Destin Gulfgate condos are very spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that accommodate 6-8 people. There was plenty of living space in the open concept kitchen/dining/living room area, plus large bedrooms and bathrooms. Adam’s mom and aunt came along with us to help out with McKenna, and we all kept saying how we felt like there was so much room. We stayed in Unit 0704 if you want to book the exact condo in my photos. The unit had a king size bed in the master suite and 2 queens in the guest bedroom. Unit 0704 was beautifully decorated and very clean! It was also fully stocked with towels, blankets, and every kitchen item you could need during your stay. There was plenty of seating for everyone, and all of the beds were super comfortable.

30FT. BALCONIES – Each Destin Gulfgate condo has their own private 30ft. balcony! We have stayed in many different places over the years and never had a balcony so large. We loved sitting out there and enjoying the view while listening to the ocean.

COMPLIMENTARY CHAIR/UMBRELLA SERVICE – Your reservation at any of the Destin Gulfgate condos includes a complimentary beach set-up of 2 chairs and 1 umbrella for each day during your stay. We loved not having to worry about bringing down chairs and some type of shade. Adam and I sat in the chairs while McKenna played in the sand under the umbrella and it was just perfect! This is available from March 1st through the Sunday after Thanksgiving. (Excludes November monthly reservations.) You can also rent additional chairs/umbrellas, kayaks, and paddle boards.

AMENITIES – Destin Gulfgate offers access to a fitness center with cardio equipment, free weights, and a cable station. There is also a zero-entry pool with a small slide and fountains for kids. The pool is heated during the cooler months.

EXCELLENT LOCATION – The location of Destin Gulfgate is perfect! You’re within walking distance of The Back Porch, and just a few stoplights away from The Donut Hole, Lulu’s, Destin Commons and more. We loved eating breakfast at The Donut Hole! Other restaurants we enjoyed were Lulu’s, AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar, and Floyd’s Shrimp House.

GROCERY CONCIERGE AVAILABLE – Another cool thing about Destin Gulfgate is that they partner with Be My Shopper, a grocery concierge service. You shop for your groceries on the Be My Shopper website at least 48 hours before your arrival, and they will stock your condo for you before you get there. It was so nice to just walk in to our condo and have everything we needed!

OVERALL EXPERIENCE

I truly can’t stay enough nice things about Destin Gulfgate. Our condo was one of the nicest condos we have stayed in, we loved the location, appreciated the complimentary beach service, and McKenna was a big fan of the fountains at the pool! We will absolutely be staying there again in the future!
