One easy way to elevate your backyard this Summer is with a fire pit. Keep reading to see how we set up our backyard fire pit area with the help of Old Time Pottery. BONUS: I’m also sharing how I created a s’mores board for some fireside fun.
I have been compensated by Old Time Pottery for this post, however all opinions are 100% my own.
BACKYARD FIRE PIT FOR SUMMER
Nothing says “Summer” like a night around a fire pit, roasting marshmallows for s’mores. I have been wanting to add this to our backyard, and luckily I found the perfect fire pit at Old Time Pottery. For seating around the fire pit, we added these plastic Adirondack chairs. They come in 12 colors and are only $20. Old Time Pottery also has wooden Adirondack chairs, but they do require assembly. The plastic ones were actually more comfortable than the wooden ones in my opinion, but we added these cushions for extra coziness. Old Time Pottery has SO MANY outdoor cushions!
HOW TO CREATE A S’MORES BOARD
First, you need a charcuterie board or tray to set up your s’mores board. Old Time Pottery has a good selection of both charcuterie boards and trays. After selecting my tray in-store, I made sure to grab a couple of mini bowls to place on my s’mores board. I got this set of round bowls and this set of square bowls. Next, it’s time for the ingredients. (I’m sharing some ideas below). Finally, arrange your ingredients on your board.
PRO TIP: I always start by placing the bowls on the board and then filling in the empty space around them with all of the ingredients.
