Today’s post is all about making your backyard the perfect place to spend your Summer days and nights. I’m teaming up with Old Time Pottery to show you how adding a few items to your backyard can make it the perfect Summer oasis for you and your family.

MAKE YOUR BACKYARD A SUMMER OASIS
STEP 1: ADD LIGHTING – Last month, we added a fire pit and Adirondack chairs to our backyard. After the addition, we quickly noticed that we didn’t have a ton of outdoor lighting, so we headed back to Old Time Pottery. At Old Time Pottery, we found so many outdoor lighting solutions. They have a huge selection of solar powered lanterns, string lights, step lights, path lights, and more. They have a few options online, but so much more in-store!
We purchased the flamingo and pineapple solar powered lanterns in-store. We also got these solar powered string lights for our backyard fence. Adam and I are still working on putting them up because we have had SO MUCH rain the past couple of weeks. I’ll share an update over on my Instagram account when we finish, so make sure you’re following me there.
We spend a lot of days outdoors during the Summer. And now, by adding outdoor lighting, we will be able to enjoy our Summer nights outdoors as well. Look how fun these lanterns are in the evenings! Also, you can see a sneak peek of the string lights. I am so excited to see them strung across the full length of our backyard fence.
STEP 2: INVEST IN COMFORT – If you’re going to be spending time outdoors, you’re going to want to be comfortable. These chaise loungers are perfect for Summer days spent poolside. We have other chaise loungers, but these are much more comfortable. They’re also currently on sale at Old Time Pottery!
We added these paisley print cushions to match our Adirondack chairs and an umbrella for shade. The blue shade of the umbrella coordinates perfectly with the cushions! We have purchased all of our outdoor umbrellas from Old Time Pottery. The umbrellas are great quality, good prices, and Old Time Pottery has a big selection of different colors and sizes.
STEP 3: ADD SOME FUN – We have always loved flamingos, so when we saw these cute little flamingo planters, we knew they had to come home with us. We like adding lots of different flowers to our backyard, including some tropical ones. It contributes to the overall calming and peaceful feel when getting to escape to your backyard oasis.
I was also really excited to add these inflatable solar pool lights to our backyard. I love that they are white during the day, but glow with fun colors at night. They charge by the sun, and automatically change colors when the sun goes down. These would be such a fun addition for Summertime pool parties!
